This is nearly the same as the PR I already submitted (PR #5883). How about sticking with that PR? If you have a suggestion, we can discuss it over there. |

This prevents pip from crashing because of #5868. Note that this does not really address duplicate rows or other RECORD problems mentioned in the thread, simply prevents pip from crashing because of them.
